On January 20, 2025, Tarrago Brands successfully passed an audit under the international Workplace Conditions Assessment (WCA) standard, achieving a perfect score of 100%. We are proud to share this important accomplishment, as it reinforces our commitment to ethics, safety, employee well-being, and environmental respect.

 What is the WCA Assessment?

The Workplace Conditions Assessment (WCA), developed by Intertek, is a globally recognized standard that measures company performance in key areas related to social, legal, and environmental responsibility. Its purpose is to promote safe, fair, and sustainable working environments across the entire supply chain.

 Assessed areas

The audit process covered five main categories, in which Tarrago received the highest score in all:

Labor: We provide workplaces and contracts with equal opportunities, with all legal aspects clearly defined and accessible.
Wages and Hours: Our work schedules comply with national legal requirements, and we strictly uphold labor rights.
Health and Safety: Our facilities passed strict safety and cleanliness inspections and are prepared for emergencies, with proper prevention protocols and equipment.
Management Systems: All our procedures are thoroughly documented, with ongoing training and internal audits ensuring sustained compliance.
Environment: We are committed to sustainability through compliance with environmental regulations and continuous improvement actions.

 

A globally outstanding achievement

Compared to our 2024 performance, we have improved our score from 98% to the current 100%. In addition, we surpassed both the national and global averages:

  • National average (Spain): 92%
  • Industry average: 84%
  • Global average: 82%

Moreover, no non-conformities were detected in any category, demonstrating our continuous improvement and the maturity of our internal systems.
