TARRAGO COLOR DYE MIXER
With the Color Dye Mixer, you can achieve a wide range of colours within the Pantone chart.
HOW TO USE the Mixer in Coloring Tarrago to achieve the perfect Pantone colour
The Mixer is your assistant for creating accurate colours using Tarrago Color Dye. Just indicate the Pantone colour you want, and the app tells you how much of each paint to mix.
- Step 1: Search for the Pantone colour in www.pantone.com/color-finder
Search for the color typing or searching in the color bar typing or with the color wheel
- Step 2: Filter for Coated or Uncoated
Mark “Formula Guide Coated” and “Fomula Guide Uncoated” on the sidebar.
- Step 3: Search for the Pantone colour in the Tarrago Mixer
In the Mixer’s search bar, type the Pantone code of the colour you want to get.
For example: Pantone 166 C.
- Step 4: Get the mixing formula
The app will show you the exact formula with the quantities in millilitres of each paint you have to mix.You will see, under the colour the proportions for a 25ml bottle, and the bigger number for a 125ml bottle. With a scale you can weigh the grams as they are equivalent to ml. 25 grams are equivalent to 25 ml.
For example: 4.68g white + 14.28g magenta + 6.04 g yellow.
- Step 5: Prepare your mixture
Take the appropriate Tarrago Color Dyes and measure out the indicated amount for each colour.
Use a scale or syringe to be precise.
- Step 6: Mix the paints well
Combine the quantities in a clean container.
Stir until the colour is uniform.
- Step 7: Use your custom Color Dye.
You now have the exact Pantone colour ready to apply to your project.
